About Jacqueline Watts

My Qualification

I studied at the University of Cape Town from 1999-2002. I qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy and graduated Cum Laude. I am a professional Physiotherapist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. I have built a unique set of skills in Orthopaedic rehabilitation through my work experience with Orthopaedic Surgeons over the past 8 years which resulted in a passion for Orthopaedic rehabilitation. I love growing my knowledge in all spheres of mind and body and attend as many courses and lectures as possible.

What is important to me

I feel spending time with my patients is important to discover the underlying cause of their injury and pain. A hands on approach is my first line of practice. Education and discovering what is important to the individual is part of the goal setting for the treatment plan and recovery. I am committed to my patients’ recovery process until treatment goals have been achieved.

Why my own practice

Physiotherapy has become my passion and my inspiration and I strive to help each patient to the best of my ability. The human body is fascinating and a wonderful creation from God. But the physical body is not all; our minds, emotions and spirituality make us who we are and play a large role in our life’s journey. Through experiences, working with people and attending many courses and lectures I have discovered one cannot attend to only one of these aspects but one has to take them all into account when helping with healing and recovery. This has led me to starting this practice in order to be able to help and influence the person as a whole. I hope that I will be able to help you find the balance in your life for healing and recovery to take place so that you will be able to move forwards with better ease and comfort.
